Hello all,
I am a Bo'nessian living in the Middle East. I was watching an old TV program and the trailer was a piece of cornet playing that made me comment that the playing was superb. My wife watched the credits and came up and said the player was Phil McCann. I jumped out of my skin - "He used to play with Kinneil when I was a lad" quoth I. She thought I was mad until I proved it on the Internet.
I tried, very briefly, to learn trombone way back in the 1960's with Kinneil when my uncle (John Kirkwood) was conductor of the band and have loved the sound of brass/silver bands ever since.
Hearing Phil's name made me find this site and seeing some of the names made me jump. It brought back some great memories.
Good luck to the band in 2007 from a supporter in far flung places !!!

Running vest would need to be twice as big now. How're you doing? For youngsters, look at your band's history. !960's and 70's were amazing at Kinneil.
